Boys tennis: Trojans rip War Eagles, 5-0

GAINESVILLE -- The North Hall boys tennis team blanked region rivals Chestatee 5-0 on Thursday in Gainesville.

The Trojans (7-1, 5-0 Region 8-AAAA) won without dropping a set.

Jackson Davis won 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1 singles, while Dalton Patterson won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 singles.
Reid Lattanzi also won 6-3, 6-0 at No. 3 singles.

In doubles, the No. 1 team of Matt Booth/Paxton Gillespie prevailed 6-0, 6-0, and the No. 2 team of
Daniel Martin/Dawson Smith won 6-0, 6-1.

North Hall faces Gainesville at 5:30 p.m. Friday in the opening round of the Georgia Gwinnett Invitational tournament.

The War Eagles (5-3, 4-3), meanwhile, step out of region play with a Tuesday match against Lumpkin County.
