GAINESVILLE - Lakeview Academy has two students who have been selected for this year's Governor's Honors Program (GHP).

They are Emma Reinhardt, selected as a finalist in the area of science, and Anna Pethel, selected in the area of dance. They were chosen following a two-day interview process from among approximately 3,000 students statewide. (The Gainesville and Hall County School systems previously announced their GHP finalists.)

Governor's Honors is a four-week summer residential program at Valdosta State University, designed to provide "intellectually gifted and artistically talented high school students challenging and enriching education opportunities" not usually available during the regular school year.
