GAINESVILLE - It seems whenever Chick-Fil-A makes any kind of business move, there's a ripple of excitement in a community.

That's the case in Gainesville where construction has started on a new Chick-Fil-A restaurant on Dawsonville Highway at Green Hill Circle.

While few details have been released on the new project, a local company official confirmed Thursday evening that the Chick-Fil-A on Pearl Nix Parkway at Shallowford Road will relocate to the Dawsonville Highway site in June. The Pearl Nix Parkway store is the first free-standing Chick-Fil-A in Hall County.

Construction crews earlier this month removed the remnants of a former fast food restaurant from the new site and began grading the property.
