Authorities search for inmate who walked away from work detail at police station

CUMMING - An inmate walked away from a work detail at the Cumming police station Friday, and at last report, authorities were still looking for him.<br /> <br /> The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office identified the inmate as Koby Blanchard. Authorities said they do not believe Blanchard is armed, and they don't think he poses a threat to the public.<br /> <br /> A woman believed to be an accomplice to Blanchard's escape was arrested in the incident Friday evening. Margaret Cheryl Broome was charged with aiding escape, hindering apprehension and possession of controlled substances. Broome remained in custody.<br /> <br /> Blanchard was serving time for arson, burglary and theft at the time of his escape.
