GHCC hosting annual job fair Thursday; 60+ employers expected to participate

GAINESVILLE - The Greater Hall Chamber will host its Annual Job Fair on Thursday, April 2 from 10:00-2:00 at the Gainesville Civic Center.

The Title Sponsor is Spherion Staffing Services. Additional sponsors include Express Employment Professionals (Platinum), King s Hawaiian (Gold), HTI Employment Solutions (Silver) and Goods/Services Sponsors: Gainesville Area Employers Committee, Lanier Technical College, McDonald s, McGarity s Business Products, Milton Martin Honda and Signs by Tomorrow. An on-site shuttle service will be provided from the lower levels of parking at the Civic Center, Candler Park area and Bobby Gruhn Field, according to Amanda Lewis, the chamber's Project Manager Economic Development.

State Labor Commissioner Mark Butler, who plans to attend the expo, urges jobseekers to take full advantage of this opportunity to meet personally with employers, especially in an era when much recruiting is done online.

"This is a golden opportunity where individuals can meet with the companies, talk with the people who work there, make an impression on these companies, and show them how they would be a valuable part of their team," Butler said.
