One person seriously injured in Dawsonville Hwy. crash

GAINESVILLE - The driver of a PT Cruiser suffered serious injuries in a crash Thursday afternoon on Dawsonville Highway at Ga. 306 near the Hall-Forsyth County line, according to the Georgia State Patrol.

GSP Sgt. G.R. Harper said the crash happened around 2 p.m. when the driver of the vehicle crossed the center line of the highway for an unknown reason and struck a tractor trailer. The injured driver was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.

Traffic delays continued in the area for more than an hour.
