HOMER - An eighth grader from Banks County Middle School with represent Banks Cpunty further in the district spelling bee after winning nine rounds of the countywide spelling bee.<br />

Cody Dodge correctly spelled "buffalo" and "mermaid" to secure the victory at his home school Friday morning.<br />

Dodge will go on to the District Three Spelling Bee on February 28 in Gwinnett County.<br />

Casey Sayago, a seventh grade student, was the system runner-up.<br />
