OAKWOOD - Hall County authorities have released the name of the man killed when he was struck by a train in Oakwood Friday afternoon.<br />

Shoan Christopher Morrison, 40, of Gainesville died at the scene of the incident.<br />
<br />
Investigators reported a 911 call came directly from Norfolk Southern saying that the man had been hit by one of their trains at Main Street and Railroad Street in Oakwood. <br />
<br />
Morrison's body was sent to the State Crime Lab in Dekalb County for an autopsy.<br />
<br />
Investigators will be reviewing surveillance footage from the train to see if they can determine how the incident occurred.<br />
<br />
"What's most evident is that we know that he was voluntarily on the tracks and for whatever or unknown reasons at this time, he did not get out of the way of the train," Bailes said.
