Wreaths Across America returns to Gainesville next month

GAINESVILLE - Wreaths Across America, which each year places wreaths on the graves of veterans around the country, will return to Gainesville next month.<br /> <br /> This year's remembrance ceremony will be Dec. 13 and the group is still seeking wreath sponsorships before the sponsorship deadline date of Dec 1. <br /> <br /> This will be the third annual ceremony in Gainesville and will be held at Alta Vista Cemetery Dec.. 13 at 11:45 a.m. On that day, National Wreaths Across America Day, live, balsam remembrance wreaths will be placed at the headstones of fallen veterans at nearly 1,000 locations across the country and overseas. <br /> <br /> The group is seeking sponsorships for the more than 1,000 veterans interred at Alta Vista for $15 per grave. <br /> <br /> At the ceremony, the C.W.
