Volleyball: North Hall spikes Locust Grove, Buford whips Eagles Landing to advance in AAAA

LOCUST GROVE -- North Hall advanced to the Elite 8 in Class AAA after an impressive three-game sweep of Area 1-AAAA champ Locust Grove on Tuesday.<br /> <br /> Sydney Cleveland led the way with 17 kills and 11 digs as the Lady Trojans won 25-12, 25-14, 25-16 in the best-of-five match.<br /> <br /> Lily Paschall added 32 assists, three aces, and six digs and Julie Daniels had four for North Hall. Jen Mullican had four kills, two aces, and three blocks, Autumn Tucker had nine kills, and Makenzie Bryant had 12 digs for the Lady Trojans.<br /> <br /> North Hall advances to the Elite 8 on Saturday. Fellow Area 8-AAAA team Buford swept Eagles Landing. The Championship bracket will be released on Wednesday after the final eight teams are reseeded.<br /> <br /> In other action for area teams on Tuesday, North Gwinnett swept Douglas County in the Class AAAAAA second round. East Hall swept Kendrick in Class AAA.
