Man, woman posing as engaged couple burglarize Forsyth Co. home

CUMMING - Forsyth County authorities said they have arrested a man and a woman who pretended to be house hunting, but apparently were staking out homes to rob.<br /> <br /> Tyler Michels and Rebecca Weismayer are charged with burglarizing the home of a 76-year-old man. Forsyth County Sheriff's officials said the two posed as an engaged couple to gain entry into the house. They said the homeowner showed Michels and Weismayer around the house, giving them a chance to case the home for items they wanted to steal. They are believed to have waited for the homeowner to leave, and then they broke into the house.<br /> <br /> Investigators said a neighbor became suspicious and wrote down the tag number from the vehicle the pair were driving. That's how authorities were able to track Weismayer, who apparently admitted to the scheme. Michels was tracked in a wooded area in Roswell. He was also found in possession of cocaine, according to authorities.<br /> <br /> Forsyth County investigators believe the two might have burglarized other homes-for-sale in the same fashion. Anyone who believes he has been victimized is asked to contact the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.
