GDOL to help Trachte recruit workers in Toccoa

ATLANTA --The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will help Trachte Southeast fill 10 jobs at its manufacturing facility in Eastonollee in Stephens County. The company produces prefabricated metal shelters. <br /> <br /> A pre-screening of applicants by GDOL staff will be held Monday, Aug. 4, from 1-4 p.m. at the GDOL Toccoa Career Center, 37 Foreacre St. Interviews with the employer will be held Wednesday, Aug. 6, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. <br /> <br /> The company is recruiting experienced builders-assemblers, welders and electricians. Due to U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, applicants must be at least 18 years old. They must also have a resume, a high school or General Education Diploma (GED), and at least one year of experience as an electrician, welder or construction worker. <br /> <br /> The jobs are scheduled Monday through Thursday from 5 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with possible overtime on Fridays. <br /> <br /> The company will conduct a background check and a drug-screening test. <br /> <br /> For more information about the recruitment, contact Cathy Smith at the GDOL Toccoa Career Center at (706) 282-4514.
