Company creating 200 'command center' jobs in Gainesville

GAINESVILLE - Tribe Transportation, a Native American-owned, logistics and trucking company is moving its base of operations from White County to Gainesville.

Tribe's new location will be at 2251 Jesse Jewell Parkway at Exit 24 off of I-985 in a 12,700 square foot leased facility.

Prudential Georgia Realty Commercial Service's Bryant Green represented Tribe Transportation and Brent Hoffman also with Prudential Commercial Services represented the owner of the facility.

The complex will be equipped with capacity for over 100 phone lines, satellite and fiber optic cable communications, as well as a built-in back-up generator to power key logistics communications and operations during inclement weather.

Matt Handte, the company's Executive Vice President said, "Our goal is to field the best team in the industry and this move will allow us to do just that."

The heart of the logistics operations will be a 4,500 square foot room that that is being configured in an wide open, no walls environment to facilitate communications between teams responsible for various modes and segments of the business including Express Operations, Fleet Managers, Dispatchers, Freight Carrier Sales and Customer Service teams. This command center is being configured for around 200 logistic employees, and is being outfitted with the latest in computer, communications, satellite and software technology.

"This facility was designed for Tribe's business", according to Hoffman. Tribe will be quickly occupying the now vacant building and will begin operations shortly.
