NCAA D2 men's golf regional begins Thursday at Chattahoochee

GAINESVILLE, Ga. — The University of North Georgia men's golf team will be a top seed in this week's NCAA Division II South/Southeast regionals at Chattahoochee Golf Club. 

The Knighthawks captured the Peach Belt Conference championship, earning them an automatic NCAA postseason play bid. They'll also serve as the host school for this year's tournament, which begins on Thursday and will include 20 teams and eight individuals. 

It's the third straight season UNG's golf programs have hosted a regional or golf championship at Chattahoochee.
 
The University of North Georgia has partnered with the Greater Gainesville Sports Alliance (GGSA).

The top five finishing teams and the top two individuals not associated with an advancing team will advance to the 2024 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship, which will be held May 21-25 at Orange County National Golf Center in Winter Garden, Fla., as part of the NCAA Division II Spring Festival hosted by Rollins College and the Greater Orlando Sports Commission.
